The 42 | Downtown Milwaukee Wedding

I always feel such a close connection to my wedding couples, I mean we spend pretty much their entire wedding day together, and many times I catch myself getting teared up at certain moments, but when the couple is actually family it takes it all to a whole new level. Bailee's dad and I are cousins so that makes Bailee and me 2nd cousins. I was so honored when she and Kyle asked me to photograph their wedding day, first of all being able to share my love of photography with people I love and secondly they are ridiculously adorable and have impeccable taste so I knew their wedding was going to be a dream to photograph and boy was it ever! I shared a crazy amount of photos, but it was pure torture to whittle it down this much.

Bailee & Kyle held both their rooftop ceremony and indoor reception at The 42 | Milwaukee Brewing Company. It is such an incredibly beautiful venue both inside and out and located in downtown Milwaukee so only minutes away from some of the gorgeous offsite locations we traveled to for wedding party photos.

I loved Bailee's attention to details from the personalized button up shirts for her and the girls to her adorable "something blue" shoes. Her dress was from Miss Ruby (a Robert Bullock creation). Not only was it an elegant form fitting dress but her favorite part was the giant bow she had added to the back of the dress. It was just absolutely stunning! And her first look with her dad...I told them it's hard to take photographs when my eyes are all teary. Such a sweet touching moment.

Bailee and Kyle also opted for a second shooter for their wedding. This made the day go much more smoothly as my second shooter was able to go offsite to photograph Kyle and the guys getting ready while I stayed behind to photograph Bailee and the girls getting ready. Kyle & his groomsmen were such a fun group of guys! I also love the sweet moments Kyle was able to share with his mom & dad as he got ready.

Bailee & Kyle had the most perfect day for a rooftop wedding. The view of the city from the top of the Milwaukee Brewing Company building was absolutely breathtaking! Of course Bailee & Kyle's Labradoodles, Millie & Griff were a part of their ceremony and we captured some adorable moments with them and the cutest little ring bearer. They also included their love of breweries into their ceremony. In lieu of a unity candle they each chose a signature beer flavor, mixed them together and shared the glass of beer. Their signature beer was served at their reception as well. Yum!

Next it was off to the waterfront in downtown Milwaukee for wedding party photos and a quick stop to Eagle Park Brewing Company where Bailee & Kyle had their first date! Then back to the venue to take advantage of the surrounding buildings' beautiful architecture. And seriously these two (and their wedding party) look like they walked off the pages of a bridal magazine!

The reception at The 42 / Bottle House 42 was stunning! Decorated with an array of bright flowers from Wood Violet and colorful vintage decor from Relics Vintage Rentals made such a warm romantic atmosphere. They had such a unique wedding cake from Mia Stav Cakes and a family friend made an assortment of delicious cupcakes (I may have sampled one of every flavor). After dinner they danced the night away to music provided by Milwaukee Airwaves.

I made sure to get Kyle & Bailee up to the rooftop one more time before the sunset. The view is even more beautiful at sunset and the photos we took were some of my favorites from the day! Thank you Bailee & Kyle for having me capture your most beautiful day! It was an absolute dream to photograph! ~xoxo
